Something Blue

Happy Saturday my lovelies!

I attended a wedding on Thursday at one of the most spectacular and amazing venues that I have ever been to. It was in Kent at The Old Kent Barn which is situated in a peaceful country location.  The scenery was breathtaking surrounded by gorgeous landscaped gardens, overlooking a lake with such a romantic atmosphere. And with the weather being so generous reaching a scorching 30 degrees I felt like I was on holiday.

I wore my navy Herve Leger dress with its signature bandage streamlining creating a flawless silhouette, teamed up with my ASOS Tatum Gladiator heels. To complement the classic body-con style I accessorized with silver tones. I turned up the glamour with my silver beaded bib necklace just to add a bit of sparkle and texture. I have always dreamt of owning a Herve Leger dress so when I received it as a gift last year from my other half I was absolutely ecstatic. Having such an iconic masterpiece, I felt under pressure to pull it off.  I got a lot of people praising my look, so I felt I delivered my Herve piece to its great potential and more.

What do you guys think?

The Motherland

Hi lovelies! So yesterday was my beautiful cousin’s traditional engagement which was a spectacular celebration. Plenty of food, alcohol and dancing…three combinations I love.

With the traditional material (Ankara), I designed a sleeveless front split dress with a circle opening at the the back. I wanted a clean, sophisticated with a hint of sexy look as the pattern of the fabric was a bold statement within itself.  I didn’t want to distract from the hypnotizing red, orange and gold hues complimented by the shimmer of glitter. I paired with my black platform heels, black clutch bag and gold accessories. I certainly channelled my inner goddess with this luxurious piece with the amazing head gear to add the cherry on top and feeling like a glamorous African Queen.

Hope you all enjoy my first outfit post and have a fabulous Sunday!
